During the January 2015 school holidays, Eastern Respite & Recreation’s Maroubra holiday program attended Bush School at the Centennial Parklands. This pilot program is funded by the NSW Environmental Trust. Rangers worked alongside ER&R support workers to ensure that all children were engaged & supported in free play during the sessions. The nature play sessions were led by the interests of the kids and included: building a shelter from tree branches and foliage, going on a nature trail .Some of the group also planned a nature trail for the rangers to complete. They enjoyed free time playing games, making clay animals, climbing trees and discovering different birds & bugs that live in the park.
