Eastern Respite has over 70 families accessing its out of school care programs.
Holiday Programs
Eastern Respite’s holiday programs are run from Randwick Girls High School. During the day, the groups access a wide variety of community based activities that are tailored to the interests of group members.

After School Care
Eastern Respite has three after school care programs; Funsworth, Rosie Teens and Wednesday Kids.
After School Care programs are largely centre based and programs are tailored around the interests of group members.

Transportation
Families are responsible for arranging transport for their child to and from all out of school care programs, except Funsworth. Children who attend Wairoa School in Bondi, that attend Funsworth, are picked up in an Eastern Respite vehicle and driven to Holdsworth Street.
Staffing
Out of school care participants are supported by paid staff. Groups that have participants with higher support needs have higher staff ratios than groups with lower support needs.
Eligibility
To be eligible to access Eastern Respite’s out of school care activities, the person with a disability must meet the following criteria:
- have a physical, intellectual or sensory disability
- be 5 – 21 years and attending school
- live at home with their primary carer
- live in one of the 5 local government areas in Eastern Sydney – Botany, Randwick, Sydney City, Waverley, Woollahra

Cost
All holiday programs are $20 per day and all after school care programs are $10 per day.
If a person is unable to pay the set program fee, ERR will make every effort to make individual arrangements and will not refuse services because of an inability to pay.
